Dan Rather Retirement Watch: Day 1.
Personally, I think that's a bit harsh. I mean, Dan is a kind soul, who trusts his interns when they bring him stories to report, or sugar-coated goodies to eat. It's not his fault he doesn't understand concepts like "word processors" or "fonts" or "letters."So, I'm with ya Dan. Courage, my friend. . . courage.
UPDATE: Ace's loyal readers are close to demanding Dan's head on a pike, even going so far as entering him into the 2005 Dead Pool. Now, obviously I think this is all rather rash, and likely to backfire. I mean, how would you like it if people on the internet right now were taking bets on your imminent death. Speaking from personal experience, trust me, it's not easy living with a bounty on your head.
It's probably only two or three emails tops before the Democratic Underground informs Terry McAuliffe that conservative bloggers are threatening to kill Dan Rather. When all we really want to do is give him a big hug, and an FTD Pick-Me-Up bouquet
Besides, Dan will probably get out of town quick, before this all gets too serious. There's a hurricane to cover. And Ivan will love having Dan around, isn't that right, Ivan?
If he dies, he dies.
Sheesh, never knew Drago was such a fan. Better be careful down there, Dan.
