Why are these states too close to call?

Methinks three reasons: two likely, one unlikely yet disturbing.

First, the results are, in fact, really too close to call.

Second, the networks, cognizant of 2000, are being cautious.

Third, and most disturbing-- are the nets not calling certain likely Bush states to keep the race "competitive" as the poll closings go west?

I don't believe in MSM conspiracies. . . unless, of course there's CBS in charge. . .
